A controversial figure in Hollywood, Mel Gibson is an American-Australian actor, director, screenwriter, producer, and an investment genius. He earned his first million-dollar paycheck in the film Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome. Gibson started working in the Mad Max franchise straight out of college. He made his debut as a director in the movie The Man Without a Face, and two years later, he shotBraveheart, for which he won an Oscar for Best Director.

Other projects he has worked on through the years include Apocalypto, The Expendables 3, Hacksaw Ridge, and, most recently, Fatman, where the actor found himself portraying the world-famous toymaker Santa Claus.
