ELON MUSK- $175 BILLION

Elon Musk is a South African born American-Canadian inventor, businessman, and the source of inspiration for Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man character – it comes as no surprise since both figures are also genius billionaire philanthropists. Although he has many ventures under his name, he is more popular for his role as CEO and CTO of Space Exploration Technologies Corporation (SpaceX) and as CEO and Chief Product Architect of Tesla Motors, one of the leading electric vehicles and clean energy producers in the business today.

With that said, that doesn’t mean his other ventures aren’t as relevant, one of which is the now-popular financial service PayPal. In January 2020, his stake at Tesla was worth $18 billion, and in just two months, that amount doubled in value to $36 billion. Despite his big-numbered net worth, Musk owes $500 million in debt, $60 million of which is home mortgage-related. Even so, it doesn’t seem to be stopping him from continuing with his endeavors anytime soon.
